If music be the food of love..

Then we can play you a Stairway to Heaven...

If the way to a man's heart is through his stomach, and the way to a woman's is probably via chocolate or George Clooney, a meal for two at The Stanope Arms makes a perfect match. Get all loved up with us, and go home feeling pampered and worth it.  Alternatively if you have a group of friends, a wedding party, you run regular meetings of the Ford Capri RS 2000 club, the Dracula Society, or the Ladies wine and whisky risk takers association, we can cater for you too! Our food reputation is to be envied as much as the moment you taste our Sunday roasts. Brace yourself for a long look through our sumptious menus by clicking the right hand board menu links. Ah ha! I can hear the phone ringing already...!

Stanhope Arms Chef Pat is well known locally as a man who doesn't mince his words, he only minces the finest beef. The menus at our restauarant include traditional, home-cooked and best of British meals in addition to ‘light bites’ and, of course, Sunday Roasts...of COURSE!

Please Note:

Our main Menu is not available on Mondays and Tuesdays.

Tuesdays Lite Bites:- Although our full menu is not available,

we are able to offer a selection of sandwiches, rolls and Ploughman’s in addition to home made soup. mmm...!

Famous for a big big range of rare and precious Drinkers favourites!

You'll be amazed by our our selection of real ales, guest beers, lagers, spirits, wines and non-alcoholic drinks, as well as our teas and coffees… we can even knock up a cocktail or two if you’re in the mood, and there's almost always great promotions on with our Guest Ales or visiting Spirits.

And Naturally...

Wherever possible, we use seasonal, free-range and ethically sourced produce – whenever possible, we use our local suppliers.

Our Pat..

Stanhope Arms Chef Pat is not like so many other Chefs. Not only is he a fantastic Chef but he's always cheery, not precious in any way, and appreciates the finer things in life like loose women, fast cars, Racing on 4, Bet 365 (A local lass..) and swearing. If he's got a beef with you, you can be sure it's the finest there is, and it'll be cooked to perfection, but sometimes, in a rage, oh...and a kitchen.
