THE STANHOPE ARMS IS VERY PET FRIENDLY

WE'VE ALWAYS BEEN PET PEOPLE!

Having always had pets ourselves, we are committed to making bringing your dog to our pub an easy, welcoming experience. We do have to have some house rules, as I'm sure you'd appreciate. Dogs are welcome in all areas except the carpeted area in the restaurant. We ask that they are kept on a lead or at least under control and that any mess is cleared up: we have the equipment for that lol!

As far as our own dogs go, Lillie will want to lick everyone; but she has breath

that will melt concrete.. Daisie is the one who barks a lot and is at the moment, unwell. They love Stanhope regular Julies dog, Saffy, but they dont much care for the huge great blonde who's often in the garden, CASPAR.

THE STANHOPE ARMS

FAMILY OF PETS

"WHAT CAN I SAY BUT THERE'S LOTS OF THINGS I WOULD CHANGE IF I WAS IN A HUMAN FORM!" Says Daisie,

Owners of Stanhope Guvnors Adrian and Sarah

"To be fair we're out early every morning, rain or shine, whether those two fancy it or not. I haven't been feeling to well lately but I can still pull off the bedcovers in one bite and Lillie can sure lick 'em into shape (Ugh! Humans dont half make you stink...rubbing their filthy paws all over you!)

Ade's a good lad once he's out. He'll jog about a bit, throw something which we pretend to go after the minute a nice big fella comes romping along. Some call us bitches, but I happen to think everything's fair game!

Sarah's ok. I'm with her on a lot of her anti cruelty ideals, but christ sometimes she doesn't mind holding back a big bone of something or other to torment me with. I mean if thats not cruel, what is! My sister Lillie is a real catch for some big old dog. It's my job to see her happy and settled. That Caspar, well we aint that keen on him. With all that fur, he's a bit of a heartbreaker round here, and I know for a fact he gets drunk outside sometimes, on beer in a bowl. If thats the case, stick a Voddy in for Parsley the cat will ya?

Heard enough for now? dont worry, I'll be back again soon. I'm a blog dog, and you can't keep me down!

You'll find lots of 'regulars' at The Stanhope. Always accompanied and well behaved of course, enjoying a big barrel of water in the garden, or sitting quietly, taking in the ambience. Don't e
